Morocco in Paris

Le Méchoui du Prince

36 Rue Monsieur le Prince

Price | $$ (€18-23)

So, I’ll start out by telling the whole truth—I didn’t find this place on my own. Authentic Moroccan food is not a cuisine I experience often. These past several days, I have had the amazing opportunity to work in France. Hind, a stagiaire in the law firm where I am working for the summer invited me out to experience the taste of her home. Truthfully, it has been one of the best meals I have had in Paris. She assured me that if you want to try authentic Moroccan food while in Paris, this is the place to go.

Eating Greek

Fresko Greek Yogurt Bar

Greece has definitely become one of my favorite destinations and I have no doubt that I’ll be returning in the near future. I was already expecting a beautiful and scenic country with a unique culture, but I was not expecting to have one of the best culinary experiences I have ever had abroad. For someone that loves food, this was the most pleasant surprise of my visit. Aside from the beautiful wonders the country has to offer, such as Acropolis & Mount Lycabettus, I believe that authentic Greek cuisine is HIGHLY underrated. So, while highlighting a few of my eating adventures in Athens, I give the Athens culinary experience a full 5 stars.

An Irish Holiday

Bewleys

Christmas is almost here! And I couldn’t think of a better time to reflect on holiday season in Ireland. While this was one of my shorter visits, it definitely was one of the most memorable. In mid-November, I had already been living abroad for over 3 months and I never fully rid myself of homesickness. But, after meeting up with one of my closest friends to explore Dublin, Ireland & Belfast, Northern Ireland (UK), I almost felt like I was at home. Both Ireland and Northern Ireland have such a home-like feel…after only a few days visiting the region, I even considered planning an extended stay and pursuing admission into the extremely competitive Trinity College in Dublin.

Giverny & Claude Monet

Giverny

One of the most beautiful settings I have ever set foot in was the house & gardens of famous French artist Claude Monet. While I didn’t know too much about his art or impressionism before visiting, it was still extremely captivating. His legacy is beautifully preserved in a remote location in Normandy between Vernon and Gasny. If ever you have the chance to visit this northern region of France – you must see this hidden treasure.

Giverny

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take pictures inside of his home, but I still tried to capture as much of the grounds as possible.
