Meet Dana Renée
Hey! I’m Dana Renée and the recipe developer, food photographer, and creator behind The Dana Renée Way. I started this blog as a creative outlet to celebrate good cooking, good eating, and good living. This blog is where I pour out my love for farmer’s markets, fresh ingredients, and seasonal cooking.
I’m a strong believer that cooking is a form of self-care, and cooking for one should be as embraced as cooking for a family or gathering. For this reason, I do my best to make my recipes adaptable for everyone’s table and provide tips to scale recipes to align with your current vibe. I love a good deep dive into specific ingredients and techniques (walk with me, and we’ll talk about how this can make you the most confident cook). I also make a lot of gluten-free recipes for my personal preference and will throw in the occasional vegetarian and vegan situation.
Currently, I live in Brooklyn, New York making frequent trips home to Virginia to cook in my childhood kitchen (and share my recipes with the people I love)!
My recipes have been featured in Food52, thekitchn, TheFeedFeed, and Black Foodie. Every recipe on The Dana Renée Way has been tested in a home kitchen either in my Brooklyn apartment (or former Los Angeles apartment) or Northern Virginia home.
Outside of the kitchen, I am an attorney in New York whose current practice focuses on white collar investigations.
