My name is Dana Renée and I am a northern virginia native and the creator of thedanareneeway. I am a New York attorney by day (and night) and devoted home cook and foodie with a serious weakness for fresh coconut. I love experimenting with and sharing new flavors and cooking techniques.
I hardly ever follow recipes . . . even my own. That’s what I love about cooking – if you know your ingredients and cooking methods, the possibilities are ENDLESS. For me, cooking has always been expression of what I’m feeling in the moment – not about recreating and duplicating a dish verbatim.all of my recipes are adaptable and made and tested in a regular home kitchen but there are a few pantry and kitchen staples that i recommend having on hand.
