strawberry vanilla protein smoothie.
serves ya-self
oat milk: you can use any milk-alternative here – almond, coconut, or oat. start with about 6-8 ounces.
frozen strawberries: i prefer taking fresh strawberries, washing + cutting them, and freezing them in bulk (as opposed to buying frozen strawberries). i used about 6-7 strawberries here.
plant-based vanilla protein powder: i love Vega protein powder, it’s the only one I use. two scoops per smoothie.
almond butter: or any nut butter(or if you don’t like the taste, you’re allergic to want to cut fat, you can definitely just omit this).
vanilla extract: just a drop or two.
agave nectar: I use this to sweeten my smoothies when I’m not using a naturally sweet fruit (like bananas) or if I’m my blender is not particularly strong. otherwise, I’ll use 1-2 fresh dates to sweeten or a small spoonful of honey.
cinnamon: a pinch for flava.
chia seeds: (a spoonful) healthy omega-3s that your body will thank you for or you can add flaxseeds – maybe even a little of both!
topped with fresh strawberries + mint
